The Institute for Healthcare Improvement released a Quality Improvement Essentials Toolkit, featuring 10 QI tools.
Each tool features a short description, instructions, an example and a blank template. Users can download the entire toolkit or individual tools as needed. The tools can be used with the model for improvement, lean or six sigma approaches.
The tools include:
● Cause and effect diagram
● Failure modes and effects analysis
● Run charts and control charts
● Plan-Do-Study-Act worksheet
The toolkit also includes additional "how-to" videos for the tools.
