State health officials are investigating a possible link between L.A. Fitness in Ocoee, Fla., and an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease, according to a report from WFTV.
Legionnaires' is a type of virulent pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria. It is not spread via person-to-person contact or by drinking water, but can be transmitted via inhaling mist from infected water sources.

While three of the gym's members have been diagnosed with the illness, the Florida Department of Health has not officially linked the infections to the facility, according to the report.
