The Infectious Diseases Society of America has given its Alexander Fleming Award for Lifetime Achievement to Martin Blaser, MD, a researcher and clinician who advanced the world's knowledge of Helicobacter pylori and its role in human health and disease.
IDSA's lifetime achievement award recognizes a person who has made major contributions to the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge infectious diseases.
