A breakdown of the most distinctive injuries in each state

The digital health firm Amino identified the most disproportionately common physical injuries in each state and Washington, D.C.

To compile the list, Amino examined insurance claims data from 2012 to 2016 and grouped various medical billing codes into specific injury types, reports Fortune.

Open wounds and bruising represented the top industry in every state except Colorado, where falls were most common.

To name the most distinctive injuries in each state, the firm assessed injury recurrence rates in each state and compared them to the national average.
