United Healthcare Drops 300 Physicians From Medicare Advantage Plan

United Healthcare plans to drop 300 physicians from its AARP/Medicare Complete plan in southwest Florida for 2014, according to a News-Press report.

The health insurer cited reduced government funding of Medicare Advantage plans as one reason it is dropping physicians, according to the report.

Patients and physicians were notified last month of the changes.
