An Austin, Texas-based health plan charging members a small fee for access to primary and urgent care physicians extended its direct care network in Connecticut.
The company, Healthcare2U, added five Connecticut clinics to its Healthcare2U Private Physician Network of more than 70 affiliated clinics. "203 Urgent Care" clinics in Norwalk, Stratford, Southington and Waterbury began seeing patients Jan. 1.
The health plan charges customers less than $100 per month to access in-network primary and urgent care clinics for $10 per visit. Healthcare2U entered Connecticut's healthcare market in mid-2016.
