Seventeen companies including Lyft, Matter and Care.com committed to supporting the fourth ACA enrollment period by providing information to freelance professionals and entrepreneurs who both work at and use the companies' services nationwide.
"We're excited about this collaboration, which will boost our efforts to reach more Americans than ever this year and help them get covered," HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell said in a prepared statement.
The agency said the collaboration will reach more individuals qualified for ACA coverage. Outreach efforts include providing ACA enrollment deadline information in company communications like newsletters, blogs and social media.
