CareSource expands Medicare Advantage footprint to Ohio

For the first time, health insurer CareSource will sell Medicare Advantage plans in Ohio, following its advantage plan expansion in Kentucky and Indiana earlier this year, Dayton Daily News reports.

An increased demand for Medicare Advantage plans has influenced other Ohio insurers, including Dayton-based Premier Health, to increase their offerings. Experts say the market has the potential to grow further.

Medicare Advantage plans will be available for open enrollment beginning Oct. 15.
