Anthem reverses ACA exchange exit in Virginia to fill 63 bare areas

Indianapolis-based Anthem backpedaled its planned exit from Virginia's individual health insurance marketplace, Forbes reports.

Anthem said it made the decision after "learning that 63 counties and cities" would be left with no insurer selling policies on the 2018 individual marketplace following its departure.

Anthem's reversal means up to 70,000 residents in Virginia will have at least one insurer to choose from next year.
