TeleTracking celebrates 25 years of excellence

TeleTracking Technologies, Inc. (“TeleTracking”) has been named Patient Flow Category Leader for the 5th consecutive year by U.S. healthcare market research leader KLAS. TeleTracking is honored to have been awarded this prestigious recognition of excellence for 9 out of the past 10 years.

The award kicks off TeleTracking’s 25th anniversary, and is the continuation of a successful 2015 during which more than 100 new solutions were implemented across client sites. Collaboration was a central theme of 2015, with the establishment of partnerships with GE Healthcare in June and Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (“Allscripts”) in December.

Another significant milestone in 2015 was the sponsorship of a comprehensive study by RAND Corporation and the resulting report, Improving Hospital Efficiency Through Data-Driven Management: A Case Study of Health First, Florida. The study found that combining information technology, lean methodologies and patient flow principles may help hospitals improve throughput, reduce wait times for hospital beds, increase patient transfers, and save money.

TeleTracking also received attention abroad, with our solutions being included in an independent report for the Department of Health by Lord Carter of Coles – Operational Productivity and Performance in English NHS Acute Hospitals: Unwarranted variations. Specifically, the SafeHands program at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust was recognized for its use of real-time locating system (RTLS) technology to improve patient safety. The system allows the Trust to track staff to patient contact time, which help plan rotations and redeploy staff as patient acuity requires. The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust achieved another significant milestone in 2015 by centralizing their patient placement process—a pioneering development for the UK market and the NHS.

“2015 led to another year of outstanding accomplishments and record growth. We believe this trend demonstrates the growing emphasis on patient access, patient flow and solving the $1 trillion in waste facing the US healthcare system,” says TeleTracking President, Michael Gallup. “We’re also proud to be starting 2016 by being named the Patient Flow Category Leader by KLAS. It’s particularly noteworthy that 98% of TeleTracking clients surveyed by KLAS said they would buy from us again, and believe that we are a great partner for their future.”

TeleTracking will showcase its award winning patient flow solutions at the HIMSS16 Conference & Exhibition, February 29 – March 4, 2016 in Las Vegas. Clients from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Health First will present their success stories in TeleTracking booth #7410.
