Marshall Browning Hospital to offer urgent care services Feb. 1

Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, Ill., has set a Feb. 1 date to open a new urgent care center in a clinic across the street, according to a report from The Southern Illinoisan.

The urgent care center will offer services for wound care, minor lacerations, sprains and strains, fever or flu, vomiting and diarrhea, sore throat and cough, minor broken bones, skin rashes and infections, urinary tract infections, earaches and sinus infections.

According to Dan Eaves, CEO of Marshall Browning Hospital, the opening of the urgent care center is part of the hospital's larger goal to meet the healthcare needs of the community.

"This is our first big step. I think this is going to make it easier to meet the healthcare needs of Du Quoin and the surrounding area," Mr. Eaves told The Southern Illinoisan.
