U.S. News & World Report released its list of "America's Best Children's Hospitals" and has named 10 hospitals to its Honor Roll.

According the report, rankings were determined on the responses received to a 65-page survey. Of the 160 hospitals surveyed, 98 responded. The scores represented three major areas: reputation, medical outcomes and care-related indicators, such as patient volume, nurse staffing and specialized programs.

Hospitals were ranked in 10 specialty areas, including cancer, heart and heart surgery and orthopedics. Of the 98 respondents, 10 hospitals were ranked in all 10 specialty areas, including (in alphabetical order): Children's Hospital in Denver, Colo., Children's Hospital of Boston and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
