UNC Healthcare Receives Conditional Approval for New Hospital
The State of North Carolina has given conditional approval to UNC Healthcare to build a new hospital in Hillsborough, N.C., according to a report by the Business Journal of the Greater Triad.UNC Healthcare plans to transfer state-approved beds from its Chapel Hill, N.C., hospital to the $227 million, 68-bed hospital in Hillsborough, scheduled to open in 2014.
The approval comes through the state's certificate of need process.
