Rhode Island Hospitals Merger Application Extended
Providence, R.I.-based health systems Care New England and Lifespan Corp. have been given a three month extension to submit their merger application after it was determined that the organizations' initial application contained missing information, according to a report by The Telegraph.Attorney General Patrick Lynch and Health Director David Gifford announced that the two systems have until March 30 to resubmit their application.
The initial merger application was submitted in September and the two organizations were initially given until Dec. 11 to resubmit the application, before the deadline was extended.
