Tags: Rhode Island

A Rhode Island bill to cap the compensation of any hospital executive in the state at no more than 110 percent of the compensation received by counterparts in the region has died in the house, according to a report by the Providence Journal.

The Senate passed the legislation, but the bill was stalled by the House Corporations Committee, according to the report.

According to the report, the committee determined that the General Assembly should avoid dictating the financial affairs of hospitals in the state.
