Press Ganey Appoints Ted Kennedy Jr. to Board of Directors

Boston-based Press Ganey, a patient experience improvement firm, announced the addition of Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy Jr. to its board of directors.

As a healthcare regulatory attorney, Mr. Kennedy counsels healthcare clients on the legal and reimbursement policy issues and changes facing hospitals, post-acute providers, government and commercial insurance entities and life sciences companies.

"We are thrilled to have Ted join our board, as the depth of his healthcare knowledge and legal expertise will offer invaluable insight to our work with provider organizations," said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey, in a news release.

"I have admired the work of Press Ganey has been doing for a long time, as there is nothing more important in our healthcare system than making sure that the voice of every patient is heard and that the needs of patients are being met," said Mr. Kennedy in a news release. "The company's mission of alleviating suffering by improving the patient experience aligns with personal goals for our country's healthcare system and I am eager to contribute to this great organization."

This is not the first time Mr. Kennedy has put his talents to use promoting patient welfare. He has also been an active leader in the movement to expand opportunities for persons with disabilities, and he serves on the boards of numerous disability advocacy organizations.
