Ohio-Based Mercy Health System Plans $14.3M Freestanding ER

Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health System has plans to build a freestanding emergency room in Sylvania Township, Ohio, which will cost approximately $14.3 million, according to a report by The Blade.

The proposed 18,000-square-foot facility will include 12 examination rooms as well as a laboratory and imaging center. It will operate 24/7, and Mercy plans on adding 30 to 40 jobs to staff the ER.

Ground breaking will take place later this year and construction is expected to be complete by fall 2015, according to the report.
