Missouri's St. John's Health Takes First Step Toward CON Approval for Orthopedic Hospital
St. John's Health System, based in Springfield, Mo., has filed a letter of intent with the state to develop an orthopedic hospital in Springfield. Filing the letter of intent is the first step to obtaining a certificate of need for the hospital from the state's Health Facilities Review Committee, according to a report by the Springfield Business Journal.No additional information about the size or cost of the facility has been released, but it is expected to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to serve the area's aging population, according to the report.
