House Passes Health Reform in Final Vote

Tags: healthcare reform | House | legislation

The House of Representatives passed the health reform bill by a vote of 220-207 in the final vote in a complicated legislative process, according to a report by the New York Times.

The House action followed the Senate's final vote a few hours earlier, and now the bill goes to President Obama for his signature.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obama held a campaign-style rally in Iowa City to convince a still skeptical public that the new law will be a boon for U.S. healthcare.
