Georgia Court Decision Allows Construction on New Braselton Hospital
The Georgia Court of Appeals has given 315-bed Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga., the green light for construction of a new hospital in Braselton, Ga., according to a report by the Gainesville Times.
The decision reversed a 2008 county court ruling in favor of a lawsuit by Barrow Regional Medical Center blocking a certificate of need for the new hospital.
The new 100-bed South Hall hospital is scheduled to open in 2014.
