Following Ouster, California Hospital Seeking Fourth CEO in 18 Months

With the recent firing of Larry Anderson, the hospital district that runs Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, Calif., will be searching for its fourth CEO in 18 months, according to a report by the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Mr. Anderson, a former healthcare executive from Orange County, Calif., was hired as interim CEO in Jan. 2009, after the firing of CEO Arthur Gonzalez and interim service by accountant Michael Williams.
Following financial losses and a defection of patients to rival hospital systems, physicians at the 358-bed hospital have been calling on the hospital district board to hire an outside firm to run the hospital.
