'Fighting For Survival,' North Carolina Hospital May Affiliate With Health System
The board overseeing 142-bed Beaufort County (N.C.) Hospital may lease the facility to a hospital system as a way to survive, according to a report by the Washington Daily News."I would be the first to say we are struggling," said Beaufort CEO Bill Bedsole. "That’s what we're in right now, a fight for survival, and we have to decide how best to do that."
Beaufort Regional Health System, which runs the hospital and outpatient services, has hired HealthCare Appraisers, a Florida consultant, to help plan its future.
