Community Hospital Corporation Expands Post-Acute Care Team

Plano-Texas based Community Hospital Corporation has added members to its post-acute care division, CHC ContinueCARE, in response to demand from hospitals looking to improve their performance in the space.

"We expanded our CHC ContinueCARE leadership team to better serve community hospitals and healthcare providers, and the community's need for highly specialized care," Michael Williams, CHC's president and CEO, said in a news release.

Kliff Rodgers recently became vice president and CFO of post-acute care services on the CHC ContinueCARE team. In this role, he is responsible for financial leadership and strategy including the financing structure of CHC's long-term acute care hospitals. He has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience for healthcare organizations.

"We are working more with hospitals interested in improving their post-acute care strategy at a time when patient populations are aging and are generally more likely to need longer to recover from illnesses," Leslie Boney, senior vice president of post-acute services for CHC, said in the release. "Post-acute care programs extend the continuum of care, enabling patients to receive the right level of care in the right place."
