CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Plans to Retire
Herbert Pardes, MD, CEO of New York-Presbyterian Hospital, announced his plans to retire in two years, according to a report in the New York Times.He took the helm of New York-Presbyterian in January 2000, after serving as the dean of Columbia University College of Medicine.
Dr. Pardes, a psychiatrist who is age 75, said his major accomplishment at CEO has been encouraging staff to embrace patient-centered care.
