ArborMetrix CEO Brett Furst recently spoke with Health 2.0 at HIMSS 2014 to discuss clinical analytics and how the company can impact healthcare economics.
The company's cloud-based system collects data on several clinical analytics, including complication rates, device requirements and procedures. The American Hernia Society used the solution and realized surgeons could save by switching from a bio-based mesh to a synthetic mesh that provided patients with better outcomes.
"There is still a large amount of unstructured data that could give us valuable information," said Mr. Furst in the report. "We are looking to partner with technologies around image processing that can help us decipher those."
