Man posing as a physician arrested at Ohio State University Hospital

Police arrested a 36-year-old man dressed in surgical scrubs Tuesday at Ohio State University Hospital, the flagship facility of Columbus-based Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, according to The Lantern.

University police responded to reports of a man posing as a physician at about 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police arrested Arthur Allen, who was reportedly wearing OSU hospital scrubs, at Doan Hall inside the hospital and charged him with criminal trespassing.

According to court records, Mr. Allen entered an area inside the hospital restricted to physicians employed by the university. He reportedly refused to identify himself when approached by hospital officials. Police arrested him after hospital officials confirmed he was not an employee of the hospital or the university.

Mr. Allen pleaded not guilty to the criminal trespassing charge during his arraignment Wednesday. Mr. Allen's court hearing was scheduled for Thursday, according to the article.

Ohio State University officials declined to comment on the incident to The Lantern, according to the article.
