 1. Medtronic to Pay $2.8M to Settle False Claims Act Allegations
Minneapolis-based Medtronic, a medical device manufacturer, agreed to pay $2.8 million in a multi-state and federal settlement to resolve allegations the company violated the False Claims Act.

2. 5 Tenet, HMA Hospitals Face False Claims, Anti-Kickback Allegations
A federal judge ruled that a lawsuit alleging violations of the False Claims Act and the Anti-Kickback Statute against five healthcare facilities located in Georgia and South Carolina owned by Tenet and Health Management Associates will proceed.

3. Government Intervenes in False Claims Act Case Against New York Hospitals
The government intervened in a False Claims Act lawsuit filed against hospitals in New York over the hospitals' alleged failure to return Medicaid overpayments within 60 days of identifying them, 

4. Halifax Health Reaches $1M Tentative Agreement in Whistle-Blower Case
Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Halifax Health has reached a $1 million tentative agreement that would resolve the second part of the lawsuit brought against the healthcare organization under the qui tam, or whistle-blower, provision of the False Claims Act

5. Halifax Paid $22.8M in Attorney Fees Defending Lawsuit
Daytona Beach-based Halifax Health spent $22.8 million over the past five years, defending itself against a whistle-blower lawsuit.
