House gets chance to override veto of ACA repeal bill

Congress is back in session and the U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on Tuesday, Feb. 2, on legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act, according to The Hill.

President Barack Obama vetoed the bill in January, stating it would set back the U.S. in progress it has made in providing more Americans with health insurance coverage.

To override the veto, the bill needs a two-thirds majority vote. With 246 Republicans and 188 Democrats in the House, it is unlikely the bill will pass the vote. If Republicans are not able to secure the majority vote, the bill will die in the House.
