McLaren Greater Lansing Cuts Positions, Employee Hours

McLaren Greater Lansing (Mich.) Hospital, part of Flint, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care, is eliminating positions and cutting employee hours, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

Less than 20 managers have been laid off so far, according to the report.

The number of employees affected by the scheduling changes is not yet clear, according to the report. However, nurses, technicians and food service workers will likely be affected.

McLaren Greater Lansing has seen a decrease in patient volumes, and the schedule changes will bring staff levels in line with patient volumes, the Lansing State Journal reported.
