Former Parkland Health CEO Dr. Ron Anderson passes away

Ron J. Anderson, MD, a longtime CEO of Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System, passed away on Sept. 11 at 68 years.

"Today, the healthcare industry mourns the loss of one of the most impactful healthcare CEOs that I have worked with in my career, Dr. Ron Anderson. He was  selfless, compassionate, a trailblazer in our industry and a tireless champion for the poor and disenfranchised. Truly a great loss and our thoughts go out to his family, friends and the Parkland community," said Stephen L. Mansfield, PhD, president and CEO of Methodist Health System based in Dallas.
