The Position
The Product Marketing Manager will support the sales and marketing strategy.
You will serve as the product subject matter expert to meet organizational objectives. We are seeking a hands-on and inspirational individual who can motivate others and collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Research
- Engage in an on-going dialog with customers and prospects
- Be the expert on our audience: know how they buy and their buying criteria
- Conduct periodic market analyses to identify market trends
- Be the expert on our competition and how to crush them
- Turn research and knowledge into actionable intelligence to support marketing initiatives/identify opportunities for change
Sales Enablement
- Develop the sales tools that support the sales process
- Translate the functional capabilities and benefits of our solutions into meaningful key messaging, value propositions and differentiated market positioning
- Drive, create and deliver compelling content, including whitepapers, presentations, product videos, customer success stories, blog posts, ebooks, infographics, webinars, website content, slideshows, datasheets, talk tracks, playbooks, competitive battlecards, FAQs and more
- Develop thought leadership content / write cases studies, bylined articles
- Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team
- Act as liaison between product management/sales
Project Management
- Collaborate with team to create a clear customer-driven segmentation strategy and targeted message for each segment
- Work with the Product Management team to determine customer/user requirements and personas
- Work with journalists to ensure coverage of PR in online and print
- Ensure consistency of message across web, print, and sales collateral
- Write persuasive copy for advertising and email campaigns
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
- 5+ years of software/healthcare marketing experience
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience creating messaging and positioning for software/healthcare products
- Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits
- Ability to collaborate and motivate across the product, sales, and marketing teams
- Self-starter with the ability to project manage to handle many assignments simultaneously and meet all deadlines
- Strong leadership, sales support, project management and training skills
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to listen and translate details attentively
- Efficient at working under pressures, deadlines, and stretch extra hours to completed assigned tasks
