Kaiser and its unions: Graham-Cassidy bill 'takes us backwards'

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente and its unions are speaking out against the latest bill to repeal and replace the ACA.

In a letter sent Friday to 200,000 Kaiser employees, Kaiser and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions said the Graham-Cassidy bill "takes us backwards" and fails to "increase access to high-quality, affordable care and coverage for as many people as possible."

The letter called on "all who are concerned about this bill to call their senators and representatives today to encourage them to oppose Graham-Cassidy, and to instead focus on fixing the current markets and helping the 30 million Americans currently without coverage."

The coalition represents 120,000 Kaiser employees.
