Global healthcare merger and acquisition activity has doubled this year compared with the same time in 2014, according to a Reuters report.
That uptick, in part, was supported by Israeli-based generic drug giant Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries' recent unsolicited $40 billion offer to buy smaller rival Mylan.
Thomson Reuters data shows that deals worth $194 billion have been announced in healthcare this year.
