RegionalCare Hospital Partners inks agreement to be acquired by Apollo Global Management

Publicly traded investment manager Apollo Global Management has signed a definitive agreement to acquire RegionalCare Hospital Partners, an eight-hospital system based in Brentwood, Tenn.

The transaction, which is subject to regulatory review and approval, is expected to close by the end of 2015.

"We are excited to partner with Apollo," said RegionalCare Chairman and CEO Marty Rash. "This significant investment will allow us to continue to expand the high quality healthcare services we provide in seven states across the country and also provide us with the financial resources required to serve new communities and regional markets."

Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP served as legal advisors for RegionalCare in the transaction. Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP along with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP served as Apollo's legal advisors.
