Columbus, Ohio-based OhioHealth finalized an affiliation agreement with Cambridge-based Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center and Guernsey Health Systems, also in Cambridge. The partnership was effective Jan. 1.
Officials said the partnership aims to expand specialty services in cardiology, cancer and neurosciences, to increase recruitment and retention of physicians and to further enhance the quality of care, patient satisfaction and clinical effectiveness across all three organizations, among other goals.
The financial terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.

"In the midst of all the change we are going through in healthcare, this partnership positions each organization for a strong future. Working together, we can utilize the best of both systems to enhance quality, improve efficiency and most importantly, keep more care local to this community. Our partnership will position both of us to better serve our communities in this new era of healthcare."
