Through the affiliations, CVS will provide the health systems' patients with access to clinical support, medication counseling, chronic disease monitoring and wellness programs at CVS stores and MinuteClinic — CVS' retail medical clinic.

CVS and the health systems will also integrate their EHR systems to enable CVS to provide patients' prescription and visit information to the health systems.

"We look forward to working with these leading regional health systems to develop collaborative programs that improve patient outcomes, lower costs and help people on their path to better health," said Troyen A. Brennan, MD, CMO at CVS.
