Middletown, Conn.-based Community Health Center has partnered with Hartford, Conn.-based Connecticut Children's Medical Center to help support and manage one of CCMC's primary health clinics in Hartford.
Below are three quick facts about the partnership.
1. Community Health Center will use $650,000 of its annual federal funding to support the primary care clinic.
2. CHC said it has no plans to implement layoffs. The health network said it plans to run the primary care center in partnership with Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
3. Under the transaction, Connecticut Children's President and CEO Jim Shmerling said patients will have access to a broader range of medical care, including dental and behavioral health treatment, thanks to financial support from CHC.
