Carle Health System Acquires Hoopeston Regional Health Center

Hoopeston (Ill.) Regional Health Center and its clinics officially joined the Carle health system based in Urbana, Ill., which includes Carle Foundation Hospital, Carle Physician Group and outpatient clinics.

HRHC will now be known as Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center. Its Illinois-based clinics in Cissna Park, Hoopeston, Rossville and Watseka will remain departments of HRHC.

As part of the deal, Hoopeston patients' medical records are available via an electronic medical record system in Carle Foundation Hospital and its clinics. In addition, more than 60 specialists who are currently providing or assisting in the delivery of care to patients at HRHC will continue to do so, with additional specialists to join in the future, according to the release.

Under this new partnership, current HRHC administrators, including CEO Harry Brockus, CMO Jay Colbert, DO, and CNO Jackie Johnson, will continue to manage the day-to-day operations of HRHC and its departments.
