Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Signature Healthcare to Form Partnership

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston signed a memorandum of understanding for an affiliation with Signature Healthcare in Brockton, Mass., according to a Boston Business Journal report.

Signature, which owns 253-bed Brockton Hospital and a multispecialty physician group, began exclusive talks for a clinical affiliation with Beth Israel in August.

The agreement between the organizations includes clinical services contracting, residency rotations and joint population health management, according to the report. The partnership will also help Beth Israel build the scale it needs as it transforms to an accountable care organization. The hospital system was one of the first 32 pioneer ACOs nationwide to be chosen for the pilot Medicare project, according to the report.
