Alecto Healthcare Services to acquire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ

For profit Alecto Healthcare Services, headquartered in Los Angeles, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 237-bed Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman.

The deal is expected to close Oct. 31, and upon closing, the hospital's name will be changed to Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center.

"The key to success at all of our hospitals is open communication with physicians, employees, volunteers, and the community," said Lex Reddy, CEO of Alecto. "That is the only way to achieve our goal of improving patient access to quality healthcare and sustaining these community hospitals."

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ will be the fourth hospital owned or managed by Alecto. Alecto manages St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, Calif., and owns 204-bed Olympia Medical Center in Los Angeles, as well as 207-bed Fairmont (W. Va.) Center.
