HCA to Acquire Full Ownership of Denver's HCA-HealthONE for $1.45B

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with The Colorado Health Foundation to acquire full ownership of Denver-based HCA-HealthONE for $1.45 billion, according to an HCA news release.

HCA expects its purchase of the foundation's approximately 40 percent ownership of HealthONE to close in the third quarter of 2011.

HCA and the foundation created HealthONE as a joint venture in 1995. It includes seven hospitals, 13 ambulatory surgery centers, more than 30 occupational medicine/rehabilitation, specialty and outpatient diagnostic imaging clinics as well as the critical care transportation program AirLife Denver.
