Summit Medical Group announces new Arizona partnerships

New Jersey-based Summit Medical Group has formed Summit Medical Group Arizona after entering a partnership with 51 clinicians from Arizona Primary Care Physicians, according to NJ Biz.

SMG is the largest physician group in New Jersey. Its parent company, Summit Health Management, announced the expansion in July though it did not reveal its partners until now.

SMG, along with Arizona Primary Care Physicians, will also partner with Bend (Ore.) Memorial Clinic to form an organization that offers customized clinical, administrative and management services.

"These announcements represent growing momentum for SHM's healthcare model and the company plans to roll out the same to even more mid- and large-sized physician practices across the U.S. before year's end," said Summit Health Management CEO Jeffrey LeBenger. "The end goal: Let patient-centered doctors be doctors."
