Southeastern Health Approved for Internal, Family Medicine Residency Programs

Southeastern Health in Lumberton, N.C., in collaboration with Campbell University's Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine, has received accreditation from the American Osteopathic Association for two residency programs.

A 39-position internal medicine program and a 24-position family medicine program will open July 1, 2015. These are SeHealth's first residency programs.

"We are excited for their approval and anticipate several other programs will be approved over the next few years," Robert Hasty, DO, SeHealth vice president of medical education and regional associate dean of CUSOM, said in the news release. "These new programs will provide a positive financial impact for the community and will help take the quality of care for the region to the next level."
