The Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative has created a Center for Accountable Care to promote a patient-centered primary care model in accountable care organizations, according to a news release.
PCPP plans to identify and recommend policies and practices to establish and benefit ACOs that have a patient-centered medical home foundation.
The co-chairs include Blair Childs, senior vice president of public affairs for Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier Healthcare Alliance; Ted Epperly, MD, CEO of Family Medicine Residency of Idaho and professor at University of Washington School of Medicine; Dana Safran, ScD, senior vice president for performance measurement and improvement at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and professor at Tufts University School of Medicine; and Craig Sammit, MD, MBA, CEO for Madison, Wis.-based Dean Health System.
