Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative Adds Two Board Members

Staff -
The Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative — a coalition of 900 members from both in and outside the healthcare industry advocating for patient-centered medical homes — recently appointed two directors to its board.

Beverley H. Johnson, president and CEO of the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care, will sit on the consumer-engagement board seat. Harlan Levine, MD, an executive vice president of health insurer giant WellPoint, will sit on the board's payor seat.

Ten people serve on the board of directors for the collaborative, which was established at the end of 2006 to advocate for improvements in patient-physician relations and a more effective and efficient healthcare delivery model.
