LCMC, Premier plan chain of urgent care centers

New Orleans-based nonprofit academic healthcare system LCMC Health is partnering with Baton Rouge, La.-based Premier Health to roll out a network of urgent care centers throughout the greater New Orleans area next spring.

The centers plan to offer walk-in urgent care services, as well as laboratory services, X-rays, routine physicals and immunizations. Patients will be able to seek care for a wide range of illnesses and conditions at the centers such as ear and eye infections, digestive issues, sprains, strains and minor skin infections, according to a press release.

"LCMC Health is excited to partner with Premier Health, experts in providing quality urgent care, to expand our services in the region," Greg Feirn, LCMC Health CEO, said in the release. "These new centers will allow us to meet a growing need for high quality, convenient, healthcare options for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses."
