Illinois' Northwest Community Hospital to Acquire Physician Practice

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., and Affinity Healthcare, a multi-specialty physician practice in Riverwoods, Ill., have signed a letter of intent to merge, according to a report by the Daily Herald.
Under the proposed agreement, Affinity's employees and physicians would be employed by Northwest Community. When the merger is complete, Affinity's 41 physicians will be the first employed physicians of the hospital, according to the report.
The merger is expected to be finalized later this year. Additional details of the deal were not disclosed.
