Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Community Health Services and Northumberland, Pa.-based SUN Home Health and Hospice announced they have received regulatory approval for the comprehensive agreement in which SUN Home Health and Hospice is now a part of Geisinger Health System.
The agreement allows Geisinger and SUN Home Health and Hospice to work closely together to benefit patients in need of home healthcare, hospice and other supportive medical services.
"Together, we can greatly enhance the patients experience, helping them stay at home with their families while recovering from surgery, dealing with a chronic illness or facing the challenges associated with aging, " Geisinger Vice President for Population Health Denise B. Prince said in a release.
