Aetna, Baylor ACO Sign Coordinated Care Agreement

Aetna and Baylor Quality Alliance, Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System's accountable care organization, have signed a coordinated care agreement.

The agreement will cover Medicare Advantage members who receive care from BQA or HealthTexas Provider Network physicians. Aetna nurse care managers will work with physicians on quality and care management for eligible Aetna Medicare Advantage members. Aetna and BQA will also work together to adhere to best practices and treatment plans.

Under the agreement, BQA physicians will be rewarded for quality and efficiency improvements.
