1. Allina nurses to launch open-ended strike on Labor Day
The union representing roughly 4,800 Allina Health nurses filed required 10-day notices allowing the workers to strike beginning at 7 a.m. Labor Day. The upcoming strike is open-ended, meaning it will begin Sept. 5 and last until a deal is reached.

2. Orlando hospitals won't bill victims of Pulse nightclub shooting
Orlando Health and Florida Hospital vowed to not bill survivors of the Pulse nightclub shooting for out-of-pocket medical costs, writing off a combined $5.5 million.

3. Mylan vows to reduce patient costs in light of EpiPen pricing scandal
Facing large scrutiny for the high price of its EpiPen medication, Amsterdam-based Mylan promised Thursday to lower the cost patients must pay for the life-saving injection.

4. Former CEO of West Virginia hospital sued for defamation

5. Cost of EpiPens up to $700
Some retailers are charging as much as $700 for a set of EpiPens, the brand name life-saving epinephrine injectors used to stop anaphylactic reactions. While patients pay different amounts depending on their out-of-pocket insurance requirements, the price for EpiPens is several hundred dollars higher than it was just a few years ago.

6. Man dies in Puerto Rico from Zika-related paralysis
A man suffering from Zika-related paralysis died in Puerto Rico. It is the first case of Zika-related death due to paralysis in the territory.

7. NJ hospital accused of luring foreign moms with false advertising
A newspaper's investigative team accused Meadowlands Hospital and Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J., of using false advertising in its birth tourism program to solicit pregnant Russian women to give birth at the hospital.
